It's been a busy week in the studio, with a couple of new paintings underway which I'm hoping to finish soon, ready to publish on the website as prints. When's a painting finished though? That's a tough call. There's always more you could add but conversely adding too much can ruin a good painting, I think it's a lifelong quest for many artists to find that balance between simplicity and fine details. I confess to worrying about this issue every single time, but I think I ruin less paintings overall now than I used to. Experience counts for something!
There's more clothing on the way too, it's that time of year now when we're hopeful that we'll have more sunshine but still realistic enough to know we'll need to plan for wearing layers in the not too distant future... There are some sweatshirts available for those casual days, and I'll make sure they're soon joined by a few hoodies. New designs seem to be popping into my head quite readily at the moment too so it's really just a question of finding enough time to get them done - I'd like to make sure there's a good range on offer.
