News

Sometimes we all just need to pause and reset don't we? That's where I am at the moment, it's been a week of ideas but not really the energy or the will to push forward with them. I suppose it's been such a frenzied time lately, getting everything sorted out has used up so much energy and I've decided now there needs to be more focus on self-care. So I'm looking after me. That's the main news this week - it's Wednesday so it's time for an update but that's really the main news to report this week. I do have plenty to think about though, I'm constantly bouncing ideas around and writing lists of things I'll get onto sometime when I have the time, but I feel like it's important now to take a bit of time to focus on me.

Mind, body and spirit, it all matters doesn't it? I can look at each of those areas and see I'm lacking, so before I do anything else it's time to address that. I'm trying to get my running habit back on track, I've fallen out of it lately for various reasons, but I know once that's in place again everything else will start to feel much easier. Now's the right time for it too, with cooler September mornings and sunrises over the sea, sometimes it's so breathtaking that you can't help but go home afterwards feeling really positive, energised and ready to attack the day. It clears your mind too, and I think those sunrises are really good for the soul - you just feel part of something amazing. Anyway, I know I'll feel much better once I'm back in the swing of things, and now's the time because we're about to head into the build up to holiday season... Not quite ready to say the word just yet... But there's a busy time ahead so I need to be ready!

I've put a picture of one of my insulated bottles on for this week's image, it's kind of relevant because not only do you need to keep hydrated when exercising, but it's also great for taking trips down to the beach just to relax and listen to the sound of the waves. That's something I find very soothing, the sea has such a beautiful magic about it that always leave me feeling restored. A bit of mindfulness, and not too far from home. Another thing I need to do more of! These bottles are good for hot and cold drinks, they'll maintain the temperature of whatever you put in there for a good few hours. Perfect.

What do you do to keep yourself happy and motivated? It's not always easy, but I know that for me having a break and getting healthy habits back in place will work wonders. Do you have a strategy? Let me know in the comments or emails, I love hearing from you and I'm always ready for your suggestions. Take care and have a lovely week whatever you're doing.
